The Wishlist at www.vfxpedia.com gets bigger and bigger.
It's evident, that all our wishes cannot be implemented in the next version of Fusion. Well, in the version after the next too Posted Image

I suggest to post here your top ten improvements that are most waited by you in descending order.

Here is my top ten taken from the official Wishlist:

1. Region of interest
2. Some kind of sheet that lists similar tools' attributes and allows to change and connect them, at once (the "Parameters Sheet")
2. Separate color wheels for gain, brightness, gamma too in the Color Corrector.
3. Ability to select and manipulate several centers (points) at once.
4. Possibility to modify any channel with any image tool
5. Ability to cache Particles, ideally so that you can change the style without it having to recalculate the particles' position every time.
6. There is a bug with motion blur: Quality, Shutter Angle and Center Bias parameters affect particles' position. pRender global range affects too.
7. Keyframes in the Time Ruller for selected tools and indication in the Control Panel for parameters that have keyframes in the current frame.
8. A tool that would enable to draw directly in the flow view
9. Adobe Illustrator/EPS/SVG vector file import
10. Ability to make expressions/connections between tools visible in the Flow.

Please, feel free to include others' wishes to your top list. I hope the most repeated in top-tens wishes will have higher priority to implement.

1. Fix Nvida Issues, or get on this list:

http://www.nvidia.co...ed_drivers.html

2. Deep Pixel AVI/Mov support (Sheer,CineForm. etc.)

3. Option to export from NLE (like we used to with DPS/Leitch/Harris) Adobe, Avid.

Wow, and there I was just about to put up my own wishlist. Well, not really a list, unless one item could be called a list?

This is a tool I would most like to have ... Pathdeform. As in 3Dsmax, an object can be given a modifier using any line as a path to travel along. I'd love to be able to create a path in the 3d tools that would allow an image to be bent along the curves of a path, depending on which way the path went in x,y,z space.

Also, to be able to 'see' any path to show where an object is moving, with handles on the keyframes so that you can easily adjust the path in the 3d view.

I'd also like a more powerful workstation, but I don't think Eyeon can help me on that one...

OSX!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm really hoping for OSX support by NAB... after all, according to Eyeon:

"Today it is all x86 architecture irrespective of OS, OSX, Linux, Windows. We developed a system to be cross platform yet easy to maintain with a minimum OS specific code. Fusion is a very large complex and deep application with a highly multithreaded core, the compiler and optimization methods that eyeon use include hand coded SSE2 assembler. Performance is paramount and our highly optimized native X86 SSE2 and processing cores are in machine code and will execute on any x86 processor irrespective of OS and all system calls are done in cross platform standard ANSI C/C++ and again are not being emulated. We also use OpenGL and GPU acceleration; these again are independent APIs and native to the OS, and have nothing to do with the Wine API. We use exactly the same compiler technology for all our Fusion builds and the rendered results will exactly the same from OS to OS and distribution to distribution."

that are good improvements, and i looking forward to use the new possibilities in in the next release(s).

But my preferred wish, is a tool "multimerge" as it is in shake.
I wrote it for a while at request@eyeonline, and get some alternative tools (drMixer tool in the DRC Utils).
But it can be more useful, if the user can controll the merge mode (add, multiply.....) and the opacity. . Think about it ;)

there should be some way to vote for new features on vfxpedia,
even better with some weighting.

here is my top ten:

1. Region of interest
2. new tool for selecting upstream transform filtering
3. cornerpin stabilize in tracker as in shake, concatenated with cornerpin warp, with more flexible onscreen manipulator
(center to move all corners, side to move two corners)
4. Keyframes in the Time Ruller for selected tools
5. faster/better motionblur
6. projectors with mask
7. bicubics in 3d
8. virtual sliders for finetuning parameters
9. simple cut only editing in bins
10. NLE integration with Avid or Premiere, or video IO

I would love path deform in 3d, and the ability to plot a path in 3d. It would bring so much extra to the software. Also a fast corner pin, rather than having to use the grid warp(which does do exactly what you want, but can be slow)

I have only two things that I would love to have with the Fusion is:

- Control Panel!! I work with panels everyday. It is the most precise way of working on CC. There are some rumors about JLCooper sure but... the same goes with the 64bit version :(

- I am used to working with Colormaster (film printer) and it is usually the fastest way to make the primary CC. Is it so hard to have a small three sliders that would work as R G B?

I understand that the second option is useless for 95% of Fusion users but... CPanels? Please?
