Hi everyone,

Some of the old-time Fusion users might remember or even still use Krokodove.
In short it's a set of Fusion plugins I started developing (and using) previous century... and still do.

Development has been low over the last 2 years... but one of my New Year's resolutions is to get them moving again.

(I once heard the best way to make sure you keep promises is to make them public... so here I go)
I intend to release on a regular basis (adding 1 new tool every month) and also provide some compositions to illustrate the possibilities (1 comp every week). Now see if we can keep this up :-)
No plans for updating the manual however...

Anyway, let's kick off with release v5.10 (and a simple new tool "Shear"). More details (and downloads) here:

www.krokodove.com

And we're 2013, so let's add some social media to that:

www.facebook.com/krokodove
www.twitter.com/krokodove
www.vimeo.com/channels/krokodove

The first 10.000 subscribers get a free licence!
(Well, officially it's still Lego-ware... read more on the site.)

Regards,
Raf Schoenmaekers

Not sure in how far the Fusion SDK supports DoD.
Where/how would you "need" it (except for making your rendering a bit faster)?

Well, "a bit" is somewhat downplaying it. You might end up with a huge performance and memory boost. Heck you might find entire branches of a comp stop rendering because the PreCalcProcess says they aren't needed for your render. Of course you might actually get slower, as it's possible that the DoD could be unnecessarily large.

But more important is that it gives you the ability to work outside the canvas. This makes work with text or graphic elements so very nice.

Hey Raf, I've written up a couple of DoD infos on vfxpedia. They are for Fuses but for plugins it should be the same except for more C++ pointer/data type things to take care of.
