As the longtime members know, this forum goes all the way back to a mail list started by Flying Pig Ranch for Speedrazor non-linear editor users back in January of 1996. When the www came along, we moved to a forum style, when Digital Fusion came along, we added the fusion forum.

Flying Pig Ranch launched a streaming television channel in 2012 after a couple years in development, and during that time we've done very little to maintain this forum. The situation finally reached the point we knew we either had to fix it or shut it down.

So we've spent the past week untangling the mess it became. We've eliminated moribund forums, moved to a hosting site (it was running on an old computer in our render farm rack), and updated to the latest version of the software.

We've modified the policies so that we should be able to avoid spam without making it nearly impossible to sign up. The downside is some long time members may have a post or two moderated if you haven't posted in a while.

After validation you become a "member." After several successful posts, you're promoted to advanced member and you avoid moderation. We've put methods in place to be notified of posts needing moderation so they should be approved quickly.

We've also tried to get the spammer ID system working correctly, but please drop us a note if your real post either gets marked as spam, or you find real spam that got by the new identification methods.

No doubt we'll find a problem or two, and more improvements are still being added. Thank you for your patience.

And if you know someone on the autism spectrum or a caregiver for someone with an ASD, tell them about The Autism Channel, on Roku and Panasonic Viera Connected TVs.
