Hi, so I have been trying to export a scene from XSI to Fusion, I am using the FBX export tool and it just doesn't work well at all! The fact that the fbx tool offers to bring across textures is very nice, but it doesn't. I can live with that, but what is going on with the camera?

The Interest is lost and the camera has rotations keyframed? Weird.

Other then this the rotation is making the camera point in the wrong direction.

I plotted the camera and interest in XSI prior to export.

Anyway rather then rant about it, has anyone got a tried and trusted method of getting a scene with an animated camera from XSI to Fusion? Its also amazing how google gives very little on this subject!

Thanks ..looking forward to a few tips.

Hey Sebstian,

you should try this add on.

http://pigsfly.com/i...t/?hl=softimage

It works most of the time. I sometimes get into gimbal issues with cameras doing crazy amount of rotating, but I use it all the time. must faster and simpler than kicking out fbx.

Hope this helps,

Joël
