I have a project that will need a lower-third crawl, like a news feed. The last time I tried it the client wasn't happy with it (I wasn't either), because it was almost unreadable unless I slowed it way down.

I remember this was never an issue in the days of CRT monitors and field rendering, and it sounds like the culprit has to do with sub-pixel motion, but I'm not sure and I don't have a lot of time to troubleshoot...

...but I'm not sure if it's the same issue as horizontal jitter and don't really understand the ins and outs of it, anyway.

Can anyone advise me on a tried and true way to get readable text crawls?

THANKS
